A Sunday round of maintenance on the tank. Algae build up on the glass was scrubbed clean. The skimmer was also cleaned using bleach and Seachem prime. A partial water change of 40% done. This is how the tank looks like after the maintenance session. I added a bit of my DIY GH booster and some micro fertilisation. The TDS is around 108 after the WC, but this will come up to 120 in a day or two.
Deep cleaning of the Sunsun HOB filter
Too much of muck was accumulated, the filter was unable to polish the water even after multiple water changes. Hopefully the muck stops with the course sponge and the rest of the filter media has less muck.
